TITLE OF POSITION: Food Service Director Position Description: The Food Service Director shall provide leadership and administrative responsibility for the food service operation of Cedarkirk. He/She will be responsible for planning menus, ordering food and supplies supervising staff, and overseeing high volume kitchen activities and meal preparation and service. This individual will oversee both summer camp and year-round retreat food service.
ACCOUNTABILITY: To the Executive Director, and PCCM Board of Directors.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: To assume the responsibilities of the head cook this includes preparing, food and cooking within the parameters of the rotation system. To prepare daily menus for scheduled groups in consultation with relevant staff member To secure the necessary food supplies and related supplies doing with Food Service To be responsible for the calling and scheduling responsibilities of the cooking staff.
To keep and accurate inventory of supplies. To be responsible for scheduling adequate personnel of the tasks of dish washing and clean up. To be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the kitchen, the dinning, rooms, and the serving hall in cooperation with the Maintenance Staff.
